Bocconi Students Food Association, Something New to Taste

Last Wednesday the inauguration of the first students association which brings all food lovers together. On the agenda: events, conferences, guided visits and articles on the topic of food.

Erika Poletti, Andrea Telesca, Bianca Maria Bettoli, Francesca Magni and Bianca Maria Galardi have given birth to Bocconi Students Food Association, the first association dedicated to all food, gastronomy and nutrition lovers, officially inaugurated last Wednesday.

The idea came up during a birthday party, in front of a strawberry cake, "We suddenly realized that Bocconi didn't have an association related with food, which is a very popular topic, especially today with Expo," tells Andrea, vice-president of the association "a topic that will always be of great interest, even after the end of the Universal Exposition. So why not create an association?". The adventure of Bocconi Students Food Association has just started, but the Bocconian community seems already enthusiastic about it: "the association also caught the attention of exchange students abroad that wish to collaborate writing articles about local food traditions", continues Andrea.

The association website (https://bocconifood.wordpress.com/) deals with various themes, such as nutrition, vegetarianism, food waste, eating disorders, as well as with softer subjects like innovative and traditional recipes and food & beverage events planned in Milan.

The Bocconi students food association activities will be, among others, the organization of events and conferences within Bocconi university and of guided visits in food industry companies. The association will also participate on November 2, bringing wine and tarallucci, to the Vernice Fesca inauguration, the first urban art project painted by illustrator Arianna Vairo on the 70 meters long wall placed between via Roentgen and the Velodromo.
