Bocconi Students Consulting Club. New Members Wanted

, by Benedetta Ciotto
The students association dedicated to consulting has launched a recruiting drive for new members, open until February 21. A good opportunity for those who want to pursue a career in strategic consulting

Bocconi Students Consulting Club is an association dedicated to all students interested in a career in the strategic consulting sector and which provides them with the tools to succeed in their desire. The recruitment for new members has recently opened and will close on February 21 at 5pm: "We are looking for 10 proactive and strongly interested members", explains Antonio Pisante, president of the club and student of International Management. "The first step is sending a CV and a cover letter, then there is a speed date interview during which each potential candidate will have a 5-minutes informal talk with 6 members of the club, one at a time. The last step is the solving of a business case during a 45-minute interview with an external consultant, who can be a former member of the association, working now as a consultant".

Bocconi Students Consulting Club was born five years ago from an idea of four students of International Management, Sasia Elia, Andrea Bianchi, Francesco Zerbato and Riccardo Silvestri. Among the activities organized by the association are training sessions, networking with consultants and alumni working in the industry and business visits to consulting firms, such as McKinsey Milan, the destination of the next visit scheduled for February 19. "The activities we organize are intended to facilitate a career in this sector, many of our former members work in fact as consultants now", says Antonio. The activities of the Bocconi Students Consulting Club can also be organized for non-members, "Sometimes the association launches on Facebook business challenges open to all Bocconi students. Who stands in the first places can then participate in the visits organized at various consulting firms", says Antonio, who joined the association a year ago, just after winning one of these challenges. "I visited A.T Kearney together with the members of the club, it was an interesting day because along with formal moments I participated in a lunch during which we had the chance to talk in a more informal way to the consultants".
