In October 2008, just as the building was being inaugurated, the World Building of the Year was awarded to the Via Roentgen building at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona. In 2009, Bocconi's latest addition to the campus, designed by Irish architects Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara of Grafton Architects, was one of the 5 finalists for the for the award for contemporary architecture in the European Union, Mies van der Rohe 2009. Now the building's angular silhouettes are featured in Milanese photographer Matteo Cirenei's latest individual exhibit.

"Inexistent Mirrors: Photographic illusions of architectural realities" is the title of the exhibition which will be on display until 10 July at the Knoll Showroom located in Piazza Bertarelli in Milan. One of Cirenei's pieces at the exhibit is a diptych of the Bocconi building viewed from one of its most interesting and dramatic perspectives.
