The Bocconi Sailing Club races in the waves of Brittany
Six days of racing between waves, tides and rocks, in the unique natural landscape of Brittany. The largest university regatta in Europe, the EDHEC Sailing Cup, now in its 48th edition, is scheduled for April 16 to 23 in Roscoff-Bay Morlai, and will see the participation of a crew of the Bocconi Sailing Club. "We have long been preparing to do well", says Daniele Sacerdoti, who graduated in Economics and social Sciences in 2014 and is responsible for the competitive section of the Sailing Club, "with a base in Torbole, Lake Garda. We will have a crew of five elements, which will compete on a J80, a very technical boat and very difficult".
At the race, which is part of the international circuit of regattas organized by some of the most important business schools, will take part 180 crews of more than 20 nationalities and that of Bocconi will be the only Italian crew present. "Our competitive team," concludes Sacerdoti, "is composed of fifteen elements participating in various events during the year, but the activity of the Sailing Club also includes many other initiatives open to beginners."
