Bocconi: New University Board

In its first meeting the Board, chaired by Mario Monti, has confirmed Luigi Guatri in the role of Vice President and Bruno Pavesi as Chief Executive Officer. Eight new members have been added to the Board for the four year term that began just three weeks ago


The new Bocconi University Board, which started its four-year term 1 November 2014, met for the first time today. The Javotte Bocconi Institute, which is responsible,under the Statute for the appointment of the President, has re-appointed Mario Monti. The Board, in turn, confirmed the positions of Vice President and CEO, Luigi Guatri and Bruno Pavesi. Andrea Sironi, confirmed as Rector for a second two-year period as of 1 November, is a member by right of the Board of Directors.

Ten of the 19 members that make up the Board have been confirmed, and one place remains vacant pending the appointment of a representative from the Province of Milan. The eight newly appointed members are: Franco Bruni, Full Professor at Bocconi; Federico Ghizzoni, CEO of UniCredit, Patrizia Grieco, President of Enel; Vittorio Grilli, Chairman of the Corporate & Investment Bank EMEA, JPMorgan; Andrea Guerra, a member of the Strategic Committee, Italian Strategic Fund; Carlo Messina, CEO Banca Intesa Sanpaolo; Barbara Poggiali, Director Strategic Marketing Poste Italian, and Gianfelice Rocca, Techint Industrial Group Chairman and President Assolombarda.

The University Board results thus composed:
