Bocconi Joins in National Mourning for Tragedy of Lampedusa
Dear colleagues and students,
Since yesterday we live in shock a new chapter in the human and social tragedy related to the phenomenon of immigration by those populations hard hit by political events, war and famine.
A tragedy which can't and doesn't leave us indifferent and which must push each one of us to a careful reflection regarding who we are as individuals and as a community and who we want to become. The first step of this course is to convey solidarity to the families of the many migrants who died yesterday on their voyage of hope and to the people of Lampedusa who are first in line every day in facing this emergency.
For this reason we invite the whole Bocconi community to adhere, as a signal and act of closeness to the pain which has hit everybody, to the minute's silence in sign of national mourning which will be held today at 12 midday.
