Bocconi: Canadian Double Degree

, by Susanna Della Vedova, translated by Alex Foti
The Double Degree agreement signed between Bocconi and Queen's Business School for the Master of Science in Marketing Management will put graduate students in contact with a highly multicultural society where marketing is practiced at the highest level

Register at Bocconi for a graduate degree and study for the first year in Milan. Then continue your curriculum abroad. The end result is you get two degrees or, rather, a Double Degree: one a Bocconi and one at the University where you have passed later exams.

There are today 12 Double Degree programs offered by Bocconi. Starting with academic year 2010-2011, the Double Degree program with Queen's Business School, in Kingston, Ontario (Canada) will be added to the list. The two schools have been linked for some years through student exchange programs.

The two degrees in question will be the Bocconi Master of Science in Marketing Management and Master of Global Management at Queen's. "Doing the Double Degree with Queen's," says Antonella Carù, Director of the Master of Science, "is a great opportunity to attend innovative classes and get acquainted with different cultures and ways of social integration. Marketing is done at a very high level in North America, from which it has spread across the world. Bocconi students studying at Queen's will be internationally competitive in their search for managerial posts."

Double Degrees were first introduced in 2005-2006 with the agreement signed with the Rotterdam School of Management. They are among the many opportunities for international education offered by Bocconi to its students, thanks to relationws with 180 partner universities in 50 countries scattered across the five continents.
