The 2015 QS rankings divided by subject area have been published. Bocconi debuted at 7th place worldwide and 3rd in Europe in the new ranking dedicated to business and management. The University is also in the top 10 in Europe for economics (5th) and finance and accounting (7th)

A new ranking and a new important honor for Università Bocconi in the QS ranking dedicated to the best schools in the area of business and management worldwide. It was introduced this year and Bocconi placed 7th globally and 3rd in Europe. The 2015 QS World University Rankings by Subject placed Bocconi 17th worldwide (moving up 3 spots) and 5th in Europe in the ranking for economics and econometrics and 28th worldwide (again moving up 3 spots) and 7th in Europe for finance and accounting.

The ranking, put together by QS, an international network dedicated to education and the professions, includes 36 rankings divided by subject area. A total of around 3,450 universities were assessed, 971 of which were then included in the ranking. The ranking was created by evaluating four parameters: academic reputation based on professor opinions, reputation among employers (based on recruiter opinions), paper citations and the H-Index, which measure the prolificacy and impact of research publications.

"It is extremely satisfying to make such a positive debut in the new ranking dedicated to business and management while remaining highly ranked in the other two, even moving up three spots in both," says Stefano Caselli, Vice Rector for Internationalization at Bocconi. "The international research community has demonstrated their appreciation both of our teaching activities and our research. At the same time, recruiters recognize the quality of our graduates. All this has placed us among the top 10 European universities."
