, by Davide Ripamonti, translated by Richard Greenslade
Students from all over Europe will meet in in the French city November 21 to 23 to discuss the future of cultural professions . The French Minister of Culture, Aurélie Filippetti, will be in attendance along with fellow culture officials from France and other countries

How to build a Europe of culture and, most importantly, what does the future hold for the cultural and creative professions , a sector that generates a turnover of 2,700 billion dollars, accounting for 6.1% of world GDP, and about 8 million jobs in Europe? To these questions, affecting many young people in every corner of Europe , we will try to find an answer at the Avignon Forum 2013, November 21 to 23.

This year's event is focused on the theme " Culture and Power ", and many European universities will take part with teams consisting of three students . Bocconi will be represented by Federico Magni , Jacopo Pelagatti and Jordan Catalano, second-year students of ACME ( Economics and Management in Arts , Culture , Media and Entertainment ), accompanied by Professor Andrea Rurale.
"This is a very important and challenging experience , and it was preceded by the creation of a blog several months ago , on which the students are already discussing and sharing ," says Rural . " The highlight will be be on Friday 22 , at 5:30pm , at a discussion meeting with the Minister of Culture and Communication French, Aurélie Filippetti , the Minister of Culture of Slovenia , Uros Grilc , and the Minister of Culture of Senegal , Abdoul Aziz Mbaye , where students will be able to ask questions. "
"The theme of the relationship between culture and power is very interesting to me ," says Federico Magni, "and for this reason I wanted to attend the event. We should be ready, since we have held some meetings in preparation."
The team was selected by the Bocconi faculty of the ACME program and a committee from the Forum on the basis of letters of application.
