In Memory of Martina: A Day Dedicated to Raising Awareness About Blood and Bone Marrow Donation

Once again this year, our University is organizing a series of events dedicated to blood donation and bone marrow typing, in collaboration with AVIS Milano and ADMO Lombardia.

These days will be dedicated to the memory of Martina Simbula, our BIG student who passed away in 2024 at the age of just twenty due to leukemia.

31 March 2026

9:30 AM–3:00 PM | An ADMO and AVIS booth will be set up in the lobby of the Sarfatti 25 building, where the two associations will collect registrations for blood donation and bone marrow donor typing.
1:00 PM | Celebration of Holy Mass in memory of Martina at the San Ferdinando Rectory.
6:15 PM | Be the Match. Be the Change. Awareness event on donation organized by Students for Humanity in collaboration with AVIS Milano and ADMO Lombardia. With the participation of Martina’s mother.

April 20–21–29, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Roentgen courtyard): bloodmobile on campus for blood donation. More information at this link.
