Non resident student a.y. 2026-27

Students with official registered residence ABROAD or in a municipality in Italy more than 90 minutes away from the University (considering public transport travel times, excluding any walking segments), will be assigned the status of "Non resident" only following domicile in the near the University and on the condition that the student signs a contract upon payment for a period of at least 10 months (appropriately documented within the established times and methods). 

It is specified that an independent student is considered “Non resident” only if he or she uses accommodation for consideration that can be duly documented in the Municipality where the attended course is held. 

In the absence of submission, within the established deadlines and procedures, of all the required documentation, the student will be assigned, in the event of eligibility for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship, the status of “Commuting” student

STUDENTS WHO SPEND 10 MONTHS IN MILAN 

 

OR 

 

STUDENTS WHO SPEND: 

  • THE 1ST SEMESTER IN MILAN 

 

  • THE 2ND SEMESTER ABROAD* FOR STUDY/WORK EXPERIENCES RECOGNIZED BY BOCCONI 

     

OR 

 

STUDENTS WHO SPEND: 

  • THE 1ST SEMESTER ABROAD* FOR STUDY/WORK EXPERIENCES RECOGNIZED BY BOCCONI 

 

  • THE 2ND SEMESTER IN MILAN 

 

or 

 

  • in a Bocconi Residence: Copy of the Housing assignment in one of the Bocconi Residence Halls  

or 

 

  • in a NON-Bocconi residence or college: Declaration issued on letterhead paper by the hosting facility that certifies the applicant’s period of stay and Copy of a fiscally valid certificate (invoice) regarding the payment of the already paid rental fee for the housing in Milan 
  • For students enrolled in years subsequent to the first: completion of the dedicated online section and upload of the required documentation by August 31 

     

  • For first-year students: completion of the dedicated online section by August 31 and upload of the required documentation by September 21
WHOLE YEAR ABROAD* FOR STUDY/WORK EXPERIENCES RECOGNIZED BY BOCCONI INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS SERVICE No document is required: the office will automatically verify the student's position  

Students domiciled in a municipality that is not considered as “resident” or “commuting” who:

  • will go abroad for study/work experiences recognized by Bocconi International Relations Service

and for this reason

  • cannot submit the necessary documentation to attest their non-resident status or are not assigned a room in a Bocconi Residence Halls for at least 10 months

can request to be considered "non-resident" by the deadline above indicated through the online scholarship application procedure and then follow the instructions above, provided that the period spent abroad (certified by International Relations Service) added to the period spent in Milan (duly documented) is of at least 10 months in the period September 2026-August 2027. If the required documentation is not submitted correctly by the end of February, the student will be assigned the “Commuting” status. 

* For the period spent abroad no documentation must be submitted to the FFH office. The attendance of the international program will be verified with the competent Bocconi offices.
