Revocation of the benefit

A.Y. 2024-25

The eligibility for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship is revoked in the event of:

Verification ex post

The ISU Bocconi Scholarship is always awarded on the basis that the student is deserving.

The national legislative dictate of reference to which the Lombardy Region also refers defines as eligible for the Right to University Education "students in need and DESERVING".

In the first year of an academic career, the merit cannot be verified by universities before the start, before attending courses and passing the exams, but only afterwards, as required by Italian law.

For this reason, in August the performance of eligible students during the first year of the course is verified.

Specifically, the benefit awarded to 1st year students (and only for them) eligible for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship a.y. 2024-25, recipients and non-recipients, will be confirmed or revoked ex post (August 2025) subject to the achievement of the merit requirement outlined below:

  • 44 credits (CFU) by August 10, 2025 for students of Bachelor programs and Integrated Master of Arts in Law;
  • 39 credits (CFU) by August 10, 2025 for students of Master of Science programs.

Any changes in the number of credits, which may derive from exceptional measures, will be communicated through the publication on the website.

In order to reach the minimum merit requirements needed, in addition to the credits already earned, all students, except first-year students, may use bonus credits if not already used.

Students with anomalies with the exams registration shall contact the Academic Services via B in Touch.

Revocation of benefit and consequences

The number of credits earned will be verified by the Fees, Funding and Housing Office and in the event that these credits do not comply with the above, the eligibility for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship will be revoked for the academic year 2024-2025

By September 2024, the Fees, Funding and Housing Office will send the notice of revocation of the benefit to all students of 1st year 2024-2025 who have not obtained the minimum credits required for the first year by August 10, 2025.

Revocation of the benefit involves the revocation of the cash stipend, of the ISU Bocconi integrations, and of the services used for the academic year 2024-2025.

The revoked eligible student, both recipients and non-recipients, must:

  • return the 1st installment of the scholarship received for the academic year 2024-2025 and will not receive the disbursement of the second installment, if eligible recipients;
  • return the amount received for free meals;
  • return any supplements for international mobility and / or internships received.

An exception is made for students who will be able to achieve the number of credits defined above by November 30, 2025, who will not receive the amount of the 2nd installment and will not be required to return the amounts received in the academic year 2024-2025, if eligible recipients.

Return of the amounts listed above cannot in any way be questioned or postponed, as the revocations are in fact verified by the Lombardy Region, the institution providing the ISU Scholarship for the Right to University Education.

By December 2025, after the Office has verified the number of credits earned by November 30, 2025, it will notify the students who incurred in the revocation, the details of the amounts to be returned to the University.

The student will normally have to return the amounts within one month from the date of the communication or in any case in agreement with the Fees, Funding and Housing Office.

Failure to return the amounts due within the communicated deadline will result in the suspension from all academic and administrative activities until the receipt proving payment is presented.

The revoked student will have to pay the academic tuition fees of the academic year 2024-25, based on the applicable tuition and fees for the a.y. 2024-2025, regularizing his financial situation with the Fees, Funding and Housing Office.

The only exception is for those students who are revoked and who will be able to achieve the number of credits defined above by November 30, 2025 who will retain the total exemption from payment of academic tuition fees for the academic year 2024-2025 and will not have to pay.

Students who, by and no later than November 30, 2024, do not lift the reserve on their enrollment for the academic year 2024-2025, will have their eligibility for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship for the a.y. 2024-2025 revoked.

The revoked student must pay the total amount of tuition and fees for the a.y. 2024-2025, corresponding to the ordinary academic tuition and fees, according to the official payment deadlines defined by the Fees, Funding and Housing Office.

The student who is sanctioned with disciplinary measures greater than the warning will incur in the revocation of the eligibility for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship.

Revocation of the benefit entails the loss of the scholarship in cash, of the ISU Bocconi integrations and of the services used, for the academic year 2024-2025.

The revoked student must:

  • return the amount of the scholarship in cash received and will not receive the second installment, if suitable recipient;
  • return the amount received for free meals;
  • return any supplements for international mobility and / or internships received.

Return of the amounts listed above cannot in any way be questioned or postponed, as the revocations are in fact verified by the Lombardy Region, the institution providing the ISU Scholarship for the Right to University Education.

The revoked student will have to pay the academic tuition and fees of the academic year 2024-25, based on the applicable tuition and fees for the a.y. 2024-2025, regularizing his financial situation.

The student who submits/has submitted false declarations incurs the total revocation of the benefit. In addition, the sanctions provided for by art. 75 and 76 of Presidential Decree 445/2000 as well as the penalties provided for by art. 10 paragraph 3 of the Legislative Decree 68/2012 consisting in the loss of the right to obtain other disbursements for the entire duration of the course of studies, in the administrative sanction consisting in the payment of a sum of three times the amount perceived and the value of the services unduly used, without prejudice to any case the application of the sanctions referred to in Article 38, paragraph 3, of Legislative Decree no. 78/2010 as well as the criminal laws for the actions making up the crime.
