As a personal goal I have set a task to develop my life as an active participant in social and cultural life, not only by staying hours and hours over my books but also by meeting new people, talking with them, exchanging ideas and trying to learn more and more about everything surrounding me.

But when I started my academic life here at Bocconi University I would have never imagined that one day I would be on the other side of the world for such a great experience: the Campus Abroad in Shanghai!

And then one day, it happened: 4 incredible weeks in a wonderful city, also known as The Oriental Pearl.

I had the opportunity to participate in academic events actively and to improve my ability to work in a team with other students, but the most important thing was that the Campus Abroad experience gave me the opportunity to broaden my mind not only in a specific area of studies, but also with a wide spectrum of practice possibilities; moreover I learned to adapt to any situation.

Yuyuan Garden

I had the possibility to get in touch with the life of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

In Shanghai you have to expect a surprise at every corner of the city and at every hour of the day or night: the city has many attractions in the downtown area, including Huangpu River, the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, Yuyuan Garden, Xin Tian Di and the special old streets and lanes. In addition to its modern faces, there is also a wealth of more ancient Chinese traditions such as old gardens, Buddhist temples and the pagodas.

Dining is one of the most enjoyable aspects in Shanghai; in addition to Shanghai dishes, restaurants in the city offer a wide variety of foods from other parts of China as well as a number of foreign countries.

Nanjing Road

Shanghai is a shopper's paradise too! There are various bustling commercial streets and shopping centers waiting for you. These include Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road, Xujiahui Shopping Center and Yuyuan Shopping City. And please...take a look at the extraordinary Fake markets located in various parts of the city: here you can negotiate prices and quantities for every kind of goods!! It's really really fun!

The convenient transportation, comfortable accommodation and colorful places of entertainment enhanced my stay in this fascinating city!

Beautiful, exciting, wonderful, strange... it was certainly an unforgettable experience and a possibility for personal growth.
