New Team at Bocconi Rectorate

Piergaetano Marchetti, Lorenzo Peccati, Vincenzo Perrone, Michele Polo, and Fulvio Ortu are the first five names of the team that the new Bocconi Rector, Guido Tabellini, has been assembling over the past few weeks.

With the Rectoral Decree of November 5, Lorenzo Peccati, Full Professor of Financial Mathematics, was appointed Vice Rector for Human Resources, as well as Deputy Rector. His task is to "supervise the national and international recruitment of faculty, as well as manage research and teaching personnel and oversee the implementation of evaluation criteria for academic performance."

Vincenzo Perrone, Full Professor of Business Organization, is the new Vice Rector for Research, whose task is "to promote the research activities of the University, and to draft development plans with the objective of strengthening the accreditation of the University and its scholars in the national and international scientific communities of reference."

Fulvio Ortu, Full Professor of Financial Mathematics, was appointed as Vice Rector and Dean for International Affairs. The Rector gave him the mission of "promoting and achieving the internationalization objectives of the University, deepening and improving exchange programs with the best universities of international standing."

Piergaetano Marchetti, Full Professor of Business Law, will preside over academic governance and the relations with other institutions. His appointment is aimed at "monitoring the functionality, efficiency and transparence of the institutional architecture of internal government, and at assessing the intervening changes, so to translate them into actual proposals and monitor their application."

Michele Polo, Full Professor of Economics, takes on the post of Vice Rector for Organization. He will have "to organize and coordinate academic initiatives, so to attain the development targets set by Bocconi University and carry out the activities of the Rectorate."

The Rector's new team is completed by of the Deans of the five Bocconi Schools (Undergraduate School, Graduate School, School of Law, PhD School, and SDA Bocconi School of Management). These are: Giovanni Valotti (Undergraduate), Guido Corbetta (Graduate), Giovanni Iudica (Law), Alfonso Gambardella (PhD), Alberto Grando (SDA).
