International university basketball is coming to Bocconi. On 28 February the second edition of the Bocconi Basketball Spring Challenge will take place in Milan, at the Forza e Coraggio gym at Via Gallura 8, with the Università Bocconi men's and women's teams playing against LIUC Castellanza, Oxford and Cambridge. It's a chance to see men and women players from all over the world defend their university colors in "a meeting," explains president of the Bocconi Sport Team Alessandro Ciarlo, "that we organize each year and that we see growing constantly in both the number and the quality of participating teams."

"We have the incredible opportunity, from a technical point of view, but mostly from a personal point of view, of meeting with British and Anglo-Saxon universities," says Dino Boselli, who played for 16 years in the Serie A basketball league with Milano, Varese and Brescia, made over 40 appearances in the National League and who has been head of extracurricular activities at LIUC since '97. "The Anglo-Saxon tradition, after all, is where the sport was reinforced. We need to try to understand something from their mentality and from this point of we are still at the beginning."

For the men's teams, the rivalry between Bocconi and LIUC (which both compete in the Serie D FIP championship) is not as long-standing as the one between Oxford and Cambridge, but it still exists: "Our relationship with Bocconi is wonderful, but on the court, my players will do whatever they can to win and redeem last year's defeat."
