Enrico Intra is an important name in the history of Italian and European jazz. An excellent pianist, composer, orchestra arranger and director, he has created and organized events that have made an important impact on the Italian socio-cultural fabric over the past 50 years. In addition, Intra is a first-rate representative of a sound aimed at a fusion between a decidedly jazz expression, with an emphasis on an authentic connection to the blues, and classical contemporary European music.

Thursday 5 March, at 9pm, Intra, accompanied by Lucio Terzano on the bass and Tony Arco on drums, will perform in Università Bocconi's new Aula Magna at Via Roentgen 1, open to the city for the first time with a complimentary jazz concert covering over 30 years of musical life.
The sense of blues, jazz fundamentals and swing remain the main elements of an offer in which even the ideas and suggestions of the contemporary European music from the second half of the last century have a unique inflection. In program for the evening include Rondò, The E of Corso Venezia, Intramood, Fiory, Per Donatoni, Tribute to Monk and Bluestop.

The book "Enrico Intra – Intramood" will be presented before the concert. The book includes essays, first-hand accounts, writings and scores dedicated to the Milanese pianist and composer. Music historian Luigi Pestalozza, musician Franco D'Andrea and writer Luca Doninelli will discuss the book along with the book's editor, musicologist Maurizio Franco.
