Earthquake Seriously Damages the University of L'Aquila

Italian universities come to the rescue with the Conference of Rectors creating a fund to contribute to the rebuilding of the University. Bocconi is providing 30 dorm beds to help students and faculty of the Abruzzese university hit by the quake, which also destroyed L'Aquila's student dorm (Casa dello Studente)

The Conference of Italian Rectors has established a special fund in support of Università de L'Aquila. For its part, Bocconi makes 30 dorm beds available to faculty and students of the Abruzzese university that was hit by the earthquake which has ravaged the city of L'Aquila and its surrounding villages. Also, Bocconi invites its students coming from the Abruzzi region (264, of which 36 from its capital) to get in touch with Salvatore Grillo, head of ISU Bocconi (tel 02.5836.2149, salvatore.grillo@unibocconi.it), in order to organize assistance to the victims and those left homeless by the terrible quake (6.3 on the Richter scale). Bocconi University also invites its faculty, students and employees to contribute to the fund established by the Conference of Rectors to rebuild the structures and facilities of Università de L'Aquila.
