Bocconi rugby team celebrates at LUISS festivities, winning the match 29-0

The quality of each individual influences a team's solidarity. This is a lesson Bocconi rugby players, playing against the LUISS team, taught their rivals while competing for the Serie C championship. The Bocconi team, who won 29-0, was pleased with the match, as the captain of the team Stefano De Masi explains: "We truly dominated on the field, we were better at each phase of the game. On offence we made 4 goals and on defense we didn't let any well-positioned kicks get past us." The rivalry between the two teams is strong and the other team verbally challenged the Pellicans before the match. "They insisted that they were 'more of a team.' I'd say that not allowing any points was a just punishment" for their comments, continued the captain.

After the game was over, both teams celebrated at Stadio Flaminio for the Italy-France game of the Six Nations rugby Championship. At the time, the two universities were already looking forward to a rematch. "It was truly a great game," says President of the Bocconi Sport Team Alessandro Ciarlo, "played on an excellent field, with a good audience that included important LUISS administration and which celebrated the 10th year of their sports club's activity. Next year it will be our turn to host the match and LUISS has asked us to extend the challenge to basketball, since they have a team that plays in Serie C. I would like to insert a third match as well, to involve the women's volleyball teams." This possible program would increase the rivalry that is already present both on and off the field.

The complete Pellican team: Cianfrone Francesco, Cigaina Tommaso, Coghe Riccardo, D'Ambros Stefano, D'Auria Daniele, De Angelis Christian, De Masi Stefano, Della Rocca Andrea, Drudi Jacopo, Guglielmi Simone, Imparato Marco, Gamper Joachin, Liedana Damien, Lodetti Aurelio Angelo, Malinconico Fabrizio, Mantovani Filippo, Marotta Marino, Nocera Stefano James, Ortica Giacomo, Russo Giuliano, Scordo Pasquale, Vettorel Danilo.
