Dayramir González is one of the most talented pianists on today’s Afro-Cuban jazz scene. From Havana to Carnegie Hall, he brings to the stage an explosion of sounds, roots, and virtuosity with his show The Art of Cuban Piano: a journey through Cuban musical traditions, from the nineteenth century to contemporary jazz, in dialogue with the legacy of American jazz. More than a concert, it is identity, rhythm, and storytelling.

Dayramir González began his professional career as a pianist and composer at the age of 16 with the Afro-Cuban jazz ensemble Diákara. After winning Havana’s JoJazz Festival in 2004 and 2005, he earned three Cubadisco awards for his 2007 debut album, and became the first Cuban recipient of the Berklee College of Music Presidential Scholarship.
