IT Education Center at a Glance

The IT Education Center (ITEC) is the reference point for ICT education at Bocconi, providing students with a wide range of supplementary activities and ICT certifications.

The courses are delivered by highly qualified ICT professionals, with tutoring provided by high-achieving Bocconi students selected for their academic merit.

Supplementary activities enrich the University's academic offering and provide students with the opportunity to broaden their skills and enhance their experience.

ITEC offers a wide range of courses focusing on digital technologies and ICT skills, designed to help students develop digital competencies that are increasingly valued in both academic and professional settings. The courses provide hands-on experience with innovative software and technologies, covering topics such as Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, R, Salesforce, Big Data, Image Editing, Cybersecurity and Generative AI.

In addition to extracurricular courses, the IT Education Center also offers curricular supplementary activities for students enrolled in Master of Science programs.

In most programs, these activities can be included in the study plan and are worth 2 academic credits. For students enrolled in the Master's degree programs in Data Science and Business Analytics, Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance, and Transformative Sustainability, these courses are recognised only as additional credits.

 

ICDL (International Certification of Digital Literacy) is an internationally recognized certification that validates digital competencies and the ability to use the most common digital tools effectively.

ITEC is an accredited ICDL Test Center, offering weekly exam sessions at discounted rates for Bocconi students. 
For students enrolled up to and including the 2025–2026 a.y., obtaining an ICDL certification is a prerequisite for taking the curricular Computer Science, Legal Tech and Informatica per Giurisprudenza exams.

In addition to ICDL, ITEC is also an accredited Test Center for the following ICT certifications:

  • ICDL Advanced (Word Processing, Presentation, Spreadsheets, Database)
  • Digital Marketing
  • EPM (European Project Management)
  • MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist).
