Welcome to Bocconi! 4 ways to get the most out of the Library
Here are four practical tips to help you get started:
1. Explore the Library: take a tour
The Bocconi Library offers a variety of spaces designed to meet different study needs. On the ground floor, you can find study spaces, Information Desk and Data Room; on the first floor, more study spaces, phone booths and a break area. You can also explore our shelves and curated collections, as well as exhibitions hosted throughout the year.
If you'd like to better orient yourself and discover the Library's spaces and services, you can request a guided tour with our staff.
While you're in the Library, keep an eye on the Library monitors: they display useful and up-to-date information about opening hours, services, workshops, and other Library activities.
Remember that booking a study place is mandatory. You can reserve your seat through the yoU@B Pro app before using the Library's study areas. You can find the full Rules for utilizing study seats in your yoU@B student diary — make sure to read and subscribe to them.

The Library is open Monday to Sunday, from 8:30am-12am. You can always check the most up-to-date opening hours on the dedicated webpage.
2. Get to know the Library website
Learning how to search for information is one of the most valuable skills you'll develop at university. Whether you're working on an essay, a presentation, or a group project, relying on Google or AI tools can be limiting — and sometimes risky. Why not start with a curated selection of reliable academic sources? That’s exactly what the Library website offers.
Right at the center of the homepage, you’ll find a search bar that gives you access to books, e-books, articles, theses, databases, and other online resources made available by the University.
A great place to start is LibGuides – thematic guides created by Library staff to help you navigate key topics. For example:

3. Attend a Library workshop!
The Library organises workshops to help you discover its resources and databases, improve your research skills, and learn how to cite sources and prepare bibliographies correctly.
From discovering the tools and resources available for your courses and assignments to learning the essentials of citation and bibliography, our workshops are designed to help you make the most of the Library throughout your studies.
Check the Library Workshops calendar and the Library monitors for upcoming dates and sessions and book via the Agenda, "Appointments" section.
