ISIN, Ticker, Sedol... which one should I use?

Library & Archives has just published a new library guide to help navigate the complex landscape of company and equity identifiers. The guide, available to the entire Bocconi community, is designed especially for students engaged in empirical research involving the use of financial and accounting databases. Mastering identifiers is a key skill for downloading data effectively.

The guide provides basic information on the main identifiers, along with step-by-step instructions on how to obtain and use them in the Library databases. To better understand the examples provided, it is helpful to already have some basic knowledge of financial databases. For a quick refresher, you can consult the dedicated libguides.
