I received my Ph. D. from the U. of Minnesota in 1984 under Leonid Hurwicz and have taught at the Universities of Alicante, Pompeu Fabra, Essex, Cornell and the EUI (Florence). I have supervised 26 doctoral researchers and I am the author of the books Complex Economic Networks, Economics and the Theory of Games (both by Cambridge UP), and Evolution, Games, and Economic Behavior (Oxford UP). My multidisciplinary research has led to more than one hundred publications in economics, game theory, biology, and physics. I am currently co-editor of Network Science and associate editor of Games and Economic Behavior.
