I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick. My research interest lies in the field of applied microeconomics with a particular interest in policy-relevant questions. In my research, I combine causal inference strategies with techniques from text analysis, machine learning, and data science. My recent research investigates the contribution of social media to the spread of hate crimes and anti-minority sentiments online and offline, as well as polarization and election outcomes.
