Counseling

The Counseling Service offers students the chance to refer to a professional counselor to discuss personal, relational or academic difficulties that may interfere with their academic progress and fully realizing their potential. This service is free of charge.

Notice Board

Please note that due to ongoing renovation work at the building located at Via Bocconi 12, from 28 July to 1 August 2025, counseling services will be temporarily relocated to the B in Touch Point, located at Piazza Sraffa 13.

Services will then be suspended for the summer break from 7 to 22 August 2025. It will resume as normal on Monday, August 25.

Group work activities

Experience has taught us that issues of concern for students are often common and recurring, which is why we thought we would offer a series of small group workshops with specific focuses. Participating in these workshops may already provide you with a number of useful tools and tips for learning how to deal with situations and emotions that might characterize a period in your university career. The group sessions are moderated by a Bocconi counseling team psychologist as group facilitator.

Walk-in

The walk-in service is available for an informal and confidential consultation during which you can better understand what to expect from an individual counseling session. The service is provided by phone and via teams Monday through Friday and in-person three afternoons a week. No appointment is necessary to access the service. Meetings are available for “one shot” counseling only.

Individual counseling

Bocconi counselors are available to students for individual counseling sessions aimed at helping them manage the various challenges they may encounter during their university experience. Whether the issues are related to academics, adjustment to university life, or are interpersonal in nature, counseling offers students a supportive, confidential and objective space to work through and resolve situations that are causing distress.

Giulia Rancati

Cognitive and cognitive-behavioral psychologist and psychotherapist, she is a member of SITCC (Italian Society of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She has collaborated with Bocconi Counseling Service since 2007. She is also an expert in the treatment of eating disorders and obesity, and since 2006 has worked in a specialized department of nutritional rehabilitation. Member of SIDBT (Italian Society for Dialectical Behavior Therapy), she is specialized in dialectical behavior treatment for personality disorders, borderline disorder and self-injurious adolescents.

Laura Rigobello

PhD, psychologist and cognitive behavioral psychotherapist. She is also an individual DBT therapist and group skills trainer for patients with borderline personality disorder and their family members. She teaches at the School of Specialization in Cognitive Psychotherapy SPC in Verona. She is also a member of the Italian Society of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, SITCC.

Camille-Annabelle Bertrand

Psychologist specializing in children and adolescents, she is a board-certified psychologist in Lombardy. In addition to working freelance mainly with expat families, she has been collaborating with Bocconi since 2007. As part of the University's Counseling Service, she works with Italian and international students (in Italian, English and French).

Chiara De Falco

Bilingual psychologist and clinical sex therapist, currently a transcultural psychotherapy apprentice at GRT (Gruppo per le Relazioni Transculturali) in Milan. Since 2018, she has worked with young adults in multilingual clinical and socio-educational settings in Italy and abroad. Alongside her private practice, she delivers training in schools and social services on affectivity, DEA, and digital well-being, using interactive group-based methods and educational software. She is also an intern at CPS - Complex Operating Unit of Psychiatry 2, Department of Mental Health and Addictions, ASST Fatebenefratelli-Sacco.

Karen Rigatti

Professional counselor and member of AssoCounseling Italia and the American Counseling Association in the United States. She works mainly with international students on issues related to cultural adaptation, study methods, improving communication and strategies for managing university life and cultural and interpersonal challenges.

Milena Milani

Educational Psychologist and Psychotherapist. She is a Feuerstein mediator, a Theraplay practitioner and a member of the British Dyslexia Association. She has studied in both Italy and the US. Working mostly in English alongside a group of multilingual colleagues, she offers various services to the international and expat community living in Northern Italy and Ticino. She also teaches communication and bilingualism at several institutions.

Lucrezia Islam

MD, specialist in Psychotherapy. She studied in Italy at the University of Milan, the Institute of Gestalt HCC Italy Milan and the EMDR Association Italy, and in the US at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience. Expert in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment of the main psychological and psychiatric disorders.

Cristina Rossetti

Psychologist and psychotherapist with a systemic-relational orientation (European Institute of Systemic-relational Therapies). Since 2006 she has been working at the local services of the Province of Milan dealing mainly with adoption, foster care and family protection, also responding to requests from the Judicial Authority.
