Pre-Requisites and Selection Criteria

 PRE-REQUISITES (FOR SELECTION STEP 1 BY BOCCONI)

  • Students regularly enrolled in the second year of the Bocconi BSc in International Economics and Management
  • Credits: 100% credits registered in the Bocconi career*
  • GPA:  minimum 27/30 (average weighted on credits)*
  • Peking’s requirement: exclusion of Chinese/HK/Macau/Taiwan passports holders enrolled at Bocconi. Previous holder of P.R. China passports must meet a number of criteria before they are eligible to apply. 

* The calculation of minimum average & credits includes all the exams officially taken by 7 September 2024 (end of the exam session of first year - first and second semester courses). Interested students whose registered credits are slightly below 100% may be considered for selection and evaluated on a case by case basis by the Bocconi Selection Committee that will eventually invite them to apply for the program at Punto Blu. By being enrolled in a BSc entirely taught in English, applicants do not need to provide any proof of the English language knowledge.

Additional Requirement After Selection (By Peking)

Selected students are required by Peking University to reach 100% of second year BSc credits registered by July 2025 (end of the exam session of second year - first semester courses) in order to be admitted in the Program. Students who do not meet such requirement will be excluded from the program by Peking University.

SELECTION CRITERIA (FOR SELECTION STEP 1 BY BOCCONI)

  • Well prepared application materials;
  • Outstanding academic curriculum combined with a clear sense of mission and global vision;
  • Motivation, determination, interest in the country of destination and in the interdisciplinary study of China;
  • Have a track record of leadership and social responsibility;
  • Attitude requirements such as open mindedness, adaptability, flexibility, strong commitment and hard-working.

The selection results of Step 1 will be based on the above selection criteria and the Bocconi interview that will involve the Bocconi BIEM Program Director and Global Alliances Office; candidates who successfully pass  Step 1 of the selection, will proceed to Step 2 of the selection process managed by Peking University.
