Bio
I am an Assistant Professor of Corporate Law and Financial Markets Regulation at Bocconi University and hold the Italian National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professor in Corporate Law (IUS/04), awarded in 2022.
In 2025, I received the Premio Antonio Feltrinelli Giovani in Legal Sciences from the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, of which I am currently a member of the Centro Interdisciplinare Linceo Giovani.
I hold an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, where I was awarded the Dean’s Scholar Prize in Comparative Corporate Governance and Finance, a Ph.D. in Business Law from Bocconi University, and a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law, summa cum laude, from Bocconi.
My academic career has included appointments as a John M. Olin Fellow in Empirical Law and Finance and Fellow of the Program on Corporate Governance at Harvard Law School, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Financial Law at the University of Luxembourg. I have served as Visiting Professor at Sciences Po and the University of Notre Dame, and have held visiting research appointments at SMU, the Max Planck Institutes in Luxembourg and Hamburg, Oxford, Columbia Law School, and Harvard Law School.
My research focuses on corporate governance, financial regulation, comparative corporate law, and the legal implications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in journals including the American Journal of Comparative Law, The Business Lawyer, American Business Law Journal, European Company and Financial Law Review, European Business Organization Law Review, and Columbia Journal of European Law. I am also a Research Fellow at Bocconi University’s Paolo Baffi Research Center on Central Banking and Financial Regulation, an Associated Researcher at the European Banking Institute, and an Affiliate of the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum at Stanford Law School.

I serve as a member of the editorial boards of Rivista delle Società and Giurisprudenza Italiana.
Research Interests
My research interests span several areas, including corporate law, corporate governance, comparative corporate law, empirical corporate finance, and financial markets law.
My research activity has been recognized with several accolades, as the Dean’s Scholar Prize in Comparative Corporate Governance and Finance at Harvard Law School, the Felice Gianani Award from the Italian Banking Association, the Fondazione Confalonieri Scholarship for the best Ph.D. thesis in the legal field, the Franco Bonelli Scholarship for the monography related to the Chairman of the board of directors of joint stock companies, and a postdoc merit scholarship from the Bocconi Ph.D. School, awarded to the top student across all programs in the year of the thesis defense.
In 2024, I have been awarded one of the European Central Bank scholarships under the ECB Legal Program with a project on banking supervision in the AI age.
