Bocconi Sport Scholarship a.y. 2027-28

The “Bocconi Sport Scholarships” aim to support students with sporting talent, removing, where necessary, any socioeconomic barriers that could prevent them from accessing university education.

The initiative stems from the University’s belief that supporting high-profile young athletes who are eager to commit to their professional growth creates value for the community and for the country as a whole.

Through the “Bocconi Sport Scholarships,” the University provides support to a limited number of students, with a maximum of 10 recipients per year.

The “Bocconi Sport Scholarship” benefit includes:

a partial waiver of 60% of Bocconi ordinary academic tuition and fees;
accommodation at a reduced rate, corresponding to 50% of the full rate, in a Bocconi University residence hall or affiliated residence.

Students whose economic and financial circumstances require additional support may submit an application for the benefits available under the “Bocconi4Access to Education” program in addition to the “Bocconi Sport Scholarship” application.

1. Bocconi Sport Scholarship application: deadlines and procedure

Students regularly enrolled for the 2027-28 academic year may submit the “Bocconi Sport Scholarship Application” from 12 November 2026 to 15 April 2027 through the application available here:

2. Eligible applicants and required documentation

Interested students can find information regarding eligible applicants and the required documentation directly on the Bocconi Sport Team website, in the section dedicated to the Bocconi Sport Scholarship.

Students enrolled in a University Master’s program who are interested in this opportunity are kindly asked to first contact the assistant of their respective Master’s program to receive instructions on the application procedures and timeline.

3. Publication of results

The results of the Bocconi Sport Scholarship application will be published in the application by 15 May 2027 at the latest.

Students who receive a result for both the Bocconi Sport Scholarship and Bocconi4Access must contact the Fees, Funding and Housing Office for instructions regarding acceptance of the benefit.

PLEASE NOTE: All students awarded financial aid will be required to accept the assigned benefit within the deadline and according to the instructions provided in the assignment result. Failure to accept the benefit by the deadline indicated in the outcome will result in forfeiture of the benefit.

4. Renewal

The assigned benefit may be granted for a maximum of 4 academic years for Bachelor’s degree programs and 6 academic years Law program, for which corresponds to the legal duration of the study cycle (3 years for Bachelor’s programs and 5 years for the Law program) plus one additional year (e.g., typically the first year “fuori corso”), provided that the student meets the annual renewal requirements for confirmation, as outlined below.

The confirmation of the benefit for the following academic year, for enrolled students who have been awarded the benefit, is subject to compliance with the following renewal criteria:

regular enrollment for the following academic year within the deadlines and procedures established by Academic Services. Please note that, even in the case of full tuition exemption, the first installment-advance payment is always due in order to complete enrollment for the academic year;
confirmation of sporting excellence by the Sports Subcommittee.

At the end of the maximum renewal period (3+1 or 5+1 years), the student will be required to pay the ordinary university tuition and fees applicable to their year of enrollment, and the accommodation at the reduced rate will NOT be granted.

In the event that the sporting merit requirement is not confirmed, the Bocconi Sport Scholarship benefit will be revoked starting from the academic year in which sporting merit is no longer confirmed, and the continuation of accommodation at the reduced rate will NOT be granted.

Please note the following:

Students who were not awarded the Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship for the academic year 2027–2028 will be required to pay the ordinary university tuition and fees applicable to the year of enrollment in which sporting merit is not confirmed;
Students who had initially been awarded the Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship for the academic year 2027–2028 may regain access to this specific benefit, provided that the academic merit and enrollment requirements for each year of enrollment have been met. The specific regulations titled “Renewal - A.Y. 2027-2028” apply to the renewal of Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship benefits (criteria, timelines, and procedures).

Important:
The confirmation of full or partial tuition exemption for years following the first, throughout the entire assignment period, is always conditional upon the payment of tuition and fees at Bocconi University. For this reason, the assigned exemption cannot be confirmed for academic years following the first for students who were awarded the benefit in their first year of enrollment and who, in their second or subsequent years, enroll in a Double Degree/Joint Degree program that entails exemption from the payment of tuition and fees at Bocconi University.

It should be noted that, for students enrolled in the HEC–Bocconi Double Program, the Bocconi Sport Scholarship benefit may be confirmed in the second academic year only for the period of attendance at Bocconi.

If the student meets the required criteria, the exemption will appear on Punto Blu, under the financial position section, approximately by the end of September.

The provisions set out above constitute the official publication of the regulations for the academic year 2027–2028 regarding the renewal of the “Bocconi Sport Scholarship” benefit for students awarded the benefit in the academic year 2027–2028 and enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor’s degree program or Law program.

5. Revocation and forfeiture

The allocation of the benefit will be revoked in the following cases:

acceptance, in any year of study, of a different benefit of an amount equal or greater than the tuition waiver assigned by Bocconi University;
verifications carried out by the Fees, Funding and Housing Office reveal false declarations made by the student for the assignment of the benefit: the revocation shall take effect starting from the moment in which the illicit behavior took place and shall entail the full payment of due tuition and fees starting from the academic year in which the student benefited from the waiver following false declarations (articles 71 and 75 of Italian D.P.R. 445/2000);
disciplinary sanctions imposed by Bocconi University: in this case, the revocation of the benefit will start from the day the disciplinary sanction is imposed. Students whose award is revoked will be required to pay any outstanding tuition and fees installments that may still be due at the date of the revocation, based on the official payment deadlines defined by the Fees, Funding and Housing Office.
Failure to lift the reserve on enrollment for the first year of the a.y. 2027-2028 by and no later than September 30th, 2027. In this case, the student will be required to pay the total amount of tuition fees and contributions corresponding to the ordinary academic tuition and fees.
Failure to accept the benefit within the deadline indicated in the assignment result.
Revocation of sporting merit at any time during the 2027-28 academic year.
Sporting merit will be revoked if the student participates in an international mobility program or internship.

The forfeiture of the benefit will take place if the student withdraws from their studies or transfers to another University during the academic year; in such cases, the forfeiture takes effect from the moment of withdrawal or transfer and entails the payment of any remaining tuition and fees based on the official payment deadlines defined by the Fees, Funding, and Housing Office.
