Bocconi Sport Scholarship a.y. 2026-27

Key information

60% to 100% waiver on the Bocconi ordinary academic tuition and fees

Housing at preferential rate (50% discount) in one of Bocconi's residence halls or affiliated residences managed by an external company

As part of the Bocconi4Access to Education program, "Bocconi Sport Scholarships" aim to support students with sporting talent, removing, where necessary, any socio-economic barriers that could prevent them from accessing university education.

The initiative stems from the University's belief that supporting high-profile young athletes who are eager to commit to their professional growth creates value for the community and for the country as a whole.

With the “Bocconi Sport Scholarships,” the University grants a limited number of students (maximum 10 beneficiaries per year) exemption from university fees and contributions (between 60% and 100% depending on their verified financial situation) and the allocation of accommodation at a preferential rate of 50% of the full price.

Students who do not qualify for this support due to resource availability will be considered for one of the other benefits provided.

The "Bocconi4Access to Education" support scheme is highly detailed; the University will consider each application submitted for all benefits starting with the largest one up until all available resources are exhausted. The University will try and assign the one benefit that is most corresponding to the economic and asset situation assessed on the basis of the documentation submitted.

1. Requirements

Students who meet the following requirements may be evaluated for the assignment of this funding opportunity:

  • Italian or international applicants enrolled in the first year to a bachelor's degree program, master's degree program in law, or university master's degree program in the a.y. 2026-2027 and selected and registered with the main Bocconi Sport teams (Bocconi Sport Athletes);

    or

  • Italian or international applicants enrolled to a bachelor's degree program, master's degree program in law, HEC Bocconi double program or university master's degree program in the a.y. 2026-2027 who are involved in high-profile sports activities of national and international interest and are members of national or foreign sports clubs or associations (Bocconi Sport Talents)

Furthermore, it is specified that all students must submit the application: Bocconi4Access to Education a.y. 2026-2027 (please see below points 3 and 4)

Attention:
The Fees, Funding and Housing Office will verify all documents presented and will assess the economic and asset condition of the Bocconi conventional family household of the student.
Based on this evaluation, the office will determine the entity of the support that can be attributed. In fact, it is not assigned any benefit upon a single requisite or element of evaluation.

The selection of profiles eligible from a sporting point of view will be carried out by a special Sports Subcommittee.

The provisions outlined on this page constitute official publication of the regulations for the benefits provided under the “Bocconi4Access to Education” support scheme, dedicated to students enrolled in the a.y. 2026-27.

Interested students have to submit the single “Bocconi4Access to Education a.y. 2026-2027” application, according to the deadlines and procedure foreseen.

Students enrolled in a University Master’s program who are interested in this opportunity are kindly asked to first contact the assistant of their respective Master’s program to receive instructions on the application procedures and timeline.

The benefit can only be assigned after the detailed examination of all the required documentation submitted by the applicant in the “Bocconi4Access to Education a.y. 2026-2027” application, as detailed here.

Please note that students applying for this type of benefit must also upload a sports resume and/or presentation highlights to their application.

Please be aware that submitting an application does not automatically entitle the student to receive the benefit, but is merely a condition for accessing the application assessment process.

The assigned benefit may be granted for a maximum of 4 academic years for Bachelor’s degree programs and 6 academic years Law program, for which corresponds to the legal duration of the study cycle (3 years for Bachelor’s programs and 5 years for the Law program) plus one additional year (e.g., typically the first year “fuori corso”), provided that the student meets the annual renewal requirements for confirmation, as outlined below.

The confirmation of the benefit for the following academic year, for enrolled students who have been awarded the benefit, is subject to compliance with the following renewal criteria:

  • regular enrollment for the following academic year within the deadlines and procedures established by Academic Services. Please note that, even in the case of full tuition exemption, the first installment-advance payment is always due in order to complete enrollment for the academic year;

  • confirmation of sporting excellence by the Sports Subcommittee.

At the end of the maximum renewal period (3+1 or 5+1 years), the student will be required to pay the ordinary university tuition and fees applicable to their year of enrollment, and the accommodation at the reduced “sports” rate will NOT be granted.

In the event that the sporting merit requirement is not confirmed, the Bocconi Sport Scholarship benefit will be revoked starting from the academic year in which sporting merit is no longer confirmed, and the continuation of accommodation at the reduced “sports” rate will NOT be granted.

Please note the following:

  • Students who were not awarded the Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship for the academic year 2026–2027 will be required to pay the ordinary university tuition and fees applicable to the year of enrollment in which sporting merit is not confirmed;

  • Students who had initially been awarded the Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship for the academic year 2026–2027 may regain access to this specific benefit, provided that the academic merit and enrollment requirements for each year of enrollment have been met. The specific regulations titled “Confirmation of the benefit a.y. 2026–2027” apply to the renewal of Bocconi4Access Need-based Scholarship benefits (criteria, timelines, and procedures).

Important:
The confirmation of full or partial tuition exemption for years following the first, throughout the entire assignment period, is always conditional upon the payment of tuition and fees at Bocconi University. For this reason, the assigned exemption cannot be confirmed for academic years following the first for students who were awarded the benefit in their first year of enrollment and who, in their second or subsequent years, enroll in a Double Degree/Joint Degree program that entails exemption from the payment of tuition and fees at Bocconi University.

It should be noted that, for students enrolled in the HEC–Bocconi Double Program, the Bocconi Sport Scholarship benefit may be confirmed in the second academic year only for the period of attendance at Bocconi.

If the student meets the required criteria, the exemption will appear on Punto Blu, under the financial position section, approximately by the end of September.

The provisions set out above constitute the official publication of the regulations for the academic year 2026–2027 regarding the renewal of the “Bocconi Sport Scholarship” benefit for students awarded the benefit in the academic year 2026–2027 and enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor’s degree program or Law program.

Students may lose their benefit, or the benefit itself may be revoked, if one of the following conditions listed on the dedicated pages occurs.
