Cézanne and Renoir exhibition

Guided tour at Palazzo Reale

The exhibition is one of the most awaited events of the coming spring and, thanks to the important body of works on display, from the collections of the Musée d'Orsay and the Orangerie, it aims to trace the intersecting trajectory of two masters of painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The guided tour takes the visitor on a discovery of a fascinating era, through masterpieces that tell of a world of great changes, artistically, socially, historically and culturally. Starting with the famous first Impressionist exhibition in April 1874, Cézanne and Renoir often worked together, and from their initial adherence to Monet's ideas they would later develop personal and entirely original paths. Between famous still lifes, portraits, landscapes and bathers, we will get to know two of the main protagonists of the innovations in modern art, who will also influence the 20th century Avant-gardes with their vision.
