The PhD in Legal Studies offered for the first time in the a.y.
2014-15, includes and complements two autonomous curricula which were
previously offered as independent PhD programs:

• International Law and Economics

The PhD in International Law and Economics was
established in 1990. Along the years it was directed by Giorgio Sacerdoti
(ex-president of the Appellate Body, WTO), Gabriella Venturini and Fabrizio Onida (ex-president ICE). PhD alumni have joined International Organizations,
research centers, public administrations, multinational organizations, as well
as consultancy and professional law firms.

• Law of
  Business and Commerce ("Diritto dell'impresa")

The PhD in Law of Business and Commerce was
established in 2003. Along the years it was directed by Alberto Alessandri,
Marco Ventoruzzo, Federico Ghezzi. PhD alumni have joined Italian and
foreign universities and Law Schools, institutions such as the Italian Stock
Exchange Commission (Consob), have become judges or have joined leading
international law firms.
