Managing Board

Editor in Chief: Stefano Guido

Stefano Guido joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 and is its Editor in Chief for the current academic year. Born in Lecce in 2000, he obtained the Scientific Diploma cum laude and he is now attending the V year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. Selected in the University’s Exchange program, he attended a semester at the prestigious King’s College in London. Main academic interests are public business law, constitutional law and administrative law. He has worked as a legal intern in a leading Italian law firm. He was awarded the title of “best oralist” in a Moot Court Competition and he is now part of the Bocconi team for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court. He is fluent in English (Ielts grade 8.0). 

Vice-Editor in Chief: Maria Roberti

Maria Roberti joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021, as an Article Editor. Nowadays, she is part of the managing board as Vice-Supervising Editor. Born and raised in Brescia, she is currently enrolled in the 5th year of Master of Integrated Arts in Law, majoring in international law. During her course of study, she became keen on the novel and thriving frontier of IT law, which she had the chance to deepen thanks to a Summer School of Université de Genève, in summer 2021. She speaks fluently English (IELTS Academic — Overall C1), besides having a basic knowledge of Portuguese and recently she committed herself to the study of French. During the 4th year, she has been selected in the University's Exchange program, at the Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam, where she became familiar with main aspects of Maritime law. In addition, she has recently worked in Brussels, as an intern both at Eu institution and in a major Eu law firm, in the international trade department. Among others academic interests, it can be mentioned European Union law and International Public law.

Vice-Editor in Chief: Gabriele Cuomo

Gabriele Cuomo joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 and is currently Vice-Editor in Chief. Born in Cuorgnè (TO), he obtained the Scientific Diploma. Nowadays, he is attending the fifth year of Integrated Master of Arts in Law. Here, fluent in English (IELTS Academic- C1) carries on its studies with passion and commitment, deepening, among other things, his French. Its main areas of interest are public law, both European and Italian, with a focus on constitutional and administrative law. He was selected to be part of the Themis program, a network composed by 12 prestigious universities in Europe, Asia and Oceania, aimed at creating a new standard of excellence in the field of business and international law. In the context of the program, he undertook a semester at Esade University, Barcelona and another short period at Freie Universitat, Berlin. He has recently worked as a legal intern in the administrative law department of one of the major Italian law firms. He is an undergraduate member of Blest- Bocconi Lab in European Studies, with whom cooperates through the writing of articles, and a volunteer of UASI-Ukraine Support and Information. 

Supervising Editor: Giorgio Hassan

Giorgio Hassan entered Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor, and was later appointed Supervising Editor for academic year 2023-2024. Giorgio was born in Rome in 2001; in his hometown, he pursued a high school diploma in a Classical High school with focus on “Business & Administration”. Currently, he is enrolled in the fourth year of Law at Bocconi University, where he has the chance to delve into his passion for law&regulation and the evolution of new technologies. Alongside studying, Giorgio is involved in several other extracurricular activities, which include: a research internship at the Osservatorio Fiscale e Contabile (SDA Bocconi), a traineeship at the Legal Clinic of Bocconi for Innovation, and a role in Medialaws, an international law review where he works as Student Executive Editor.


Executive Editors

Susanna Bozzi

Susanna Bozzi joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor and was promoted to Executive Editor in November 2023. Born in Ancona in 2001, she obtained the Classical Diploma and le Diplôme du Baccalauréat Général (EsaBac) cum laude, achieving an excellent knowledge of English and French languages. She spent several periods in Canada, USA, and France. The idea of her university studies was largely inspired by an experience at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Nowadays, she is attending the 4th year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. Her main academic interests are corporate law, in fact she is active in the student association focused on this area, and civil litigation, as evidenced by her recent experience in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department of a Magic Circle law firm.

Silvia Dalla Quercia

Silvia Dalla Quercia joined the Bocconi Legal Papers editorial team in 2022 as an Article Editor, and she was later promoted to the position of Executive Editor in 2023. Born in Verona in 2000, she completed her Classical High School education and is currently in her fifth year of the Master's Degree program in Law with a major in business. She was selected for an ambitious exchange program and studied at the University of Zurich, where she attended courses that aligned with her interests in corporate, financial, and international law. In 2023, she was chosen to participate in the TradeLab legal clinic, where she deepened her study and practical experience in providing legal counsel on international economic policies. Silvia has actively participated in university associations related to both economics and law, particularly those focused on business strategy and legal advocacy. Additionally, she took part in the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) Conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York and gained practical legal experience during her time at a notary's office, where she worked alongside a Notary to deepen her legal practice skills.

Camilla Garzon

Camilla Garzon joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 as Article editor and is currently Executive Editor. Born in Mantua, she obtained the Classics Diploma with full marks. She is now attending the fifth year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University Milan. She is fluent in English (IELTS Academic 8.5), and she is deepening her French and Norwegian. During her third year she completed an internship in the Litigation department of a well-known law firm established in Milan while during the summer of her fourth year she interned in the legal department of an internationally renowned bank in London. Selected in the University's Exchange program, she is currently spending the autumn semester at Sciences Po in Paris. Her academic interests focus on commercial law with a particular focus on financial crimes.

Luca Francesco Giacobbe

Luca Francesco Giacobbe joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Paper in 2021 as Article Editor, and he is currently executive editor. Born in Lamezia Terme in 2001, he obtained the Classic Diploma with honors and an Intermediate Diploma in piano at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Nowadays, he is attending the 5th year of the Integrated Masters of Arts in Law and works as an IT tutor in the IT Law course held by ITEC in Bocconi. He completed the Exchange Program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is fluent in English (Proficiency – C2) and he is improving his German.

Arianna Toma

Arianna Toma joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 as Article Editor and is currently Executive Editor. Born in Gallipoli in 2001, she obtained the Linguistic Diploma with full marks, getting both an Italian degree and a Spanish Bachillerato. Nowadays, she is attending the fifth year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law. Her academic interests focus on public comparative law, international law and European Union law. She took part, as member of Bocconi University team, in the International Moot Court Competition in Law and Religion. Selected for the Themis program, she is currently spending the semester at Freie Universität in Berlin. She’s part of the Legal Clinic UASI, that supports refugees from Ukraine, and she is also member of a university student association that deals with diplomacy and international cooperation. She is proficient in English (Cambridge Proficiency – C2) and in Spanish (DELE – C1). Moreover, she has a basic knowledge of German and she is deepening her French. 

Lucrezia Villa

Lucrezia Villa joined Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor, and she is now Executive editor. From Milan, born in 2001, she graduated with top marks from the Italian Esame di Stato with scientific focus, in the context of a trial programme that allowed her to graduate a year earlier than her peers. She is currently attending the fifth year of the Master of Arts in Law programme and works towards her interest in the corporate law field, aiming at pursuing it in sustainability and innovation. She was President of a student society of the Bocconi School of Law, and has recently completed an internship at a major Italian law firm. She is fluent in English and French and has taken up the study of Mandarin Chinese.

Article Editors

Marco Alibrando

Marco Alibrando joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers as Article Editor as of October 2022. Born in Trieste in 2001 and moved to Sicily with his family since he was a child, he obtained a Scientific Diploma with the highest marks. He is currently attending the 4th year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. His main areas of interest are company law, especially from a comparative perspective, and criminal law. He is fluent in English (IELTS Academic – C1), and he is currently deepening his study of French and Portuguese. In addition, he is now involved in social and cultural voluntary work and is also an active member of a student association focused on law in the world of fine arts.

Giuseppe Biriaco

Giuseppe Biriaco joins the Editorial staff of Bocconi Legal Papers in October 2023, serving as Article Editor. Born in Messina in 2003, he achieved the Classical Diploma, with highest honors, from the “F. Maurolico” High School. He is currently attending the third year of the Master of Arts in Law  at Bocconi University. During his studies he developed a particular interest in commercial law, specifically focusing on corporate and banking law. He is fluent in English, reaching IELTS Academic certification level C1 and furthermore he is deeping his knowledge of Spanish.

Iacopo Brini

Iacopo Brini joined the editorial board of Bocconi Legal Papers in October 2023 as Article Editor. Born in Faenza (RA) in 2003, he grew up in Bologna, where he obtained his Classical Diploma, and is currently attending the third year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. He speaks fluent English (IELTS Academic – C2), he knows the basics of the Russian language and is currently studying French. He has been since his first year a member of one of the main student associations within the Bocconi Law School, wherein he writes the cases for its Moot Courts project and currently holds the role of head of Events. He was a member of the Bocconi University team for the International Moot Court in Public Comparative Law. His interests range from comparative law to commercial law, and he is particularly keen on international arbitration, a topic he has focused on through a summer school at the London School of Economics.

Carlotta Caromani

Carlotta Caromani joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in October 2023. Born in Brescia in 2003, she obtained a Linguistic Diploma with top marks. During high school, she participated in several exchange programs and volunteered as a Civil Protection Cadet. She is currently in her third year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law and is actively involved in three law student associations, where she contributes by writing articles. In one of these associations, which focuses on ethical-legal issues, she serves as the Blog Referent for the current year. She is fluent in English (Cambridge Advanced English - C1) and in French, which she is still studying, while also having a good knowledge of German. Her primary areas of interest lie in international law, particularly in the fields of human rights and sustainability.

Luca Crepaldi 

Luca Crepaldi joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor. Born in Monza, he obtained a Scientific Diploma and he combined the latter with the study of piano at Civica Scuola di Musica “Donizetti”. Today, he is attending the 4th year of the integrated Master of Arts in Law. He is fluent in English (IELST Academic – C1) and has a basic knowledge of Spanish. He has been active in the students’ associations field since his first year, in fact, he holds the position of Vice-president in an association focused on ethical-legal areas and he is an active member of another association that deals with business law content. His main areas of academic interest are public law and commercial law, in particular on capital markets. 

Camilla D'Abbraccio

Camilla D’Abbraccio, born in Gallarate in 2000, obtained the Classical diploma in 2019 and joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor. She is now attending the fifth year of Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University in Milan and, in particular, she is interested in comparative law and international arbitration. She intends to obtain the Spanish language certificate DELE B2, in order to improve with compared to the B1 level obtained in 2017. With regard to English language, on the other hand, she obtained C1 level in the Legal English internal exam at University; lastly, she also knows the basis of russian language.  Finally, she is a member of a student association since 2021 and, for this academic year, she has the role of head with regard to the Moot Court Projects area.

Maria Ilaria De Francesco

Maria Ilaria De Francesco joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 as Article Editor. Born in Vico Equense in 2002, she obtained the Classical Diploma with full grades and is currently attending the 3rd year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. Throughout her high school education, she had the opportunity to participate in several programs of excellence, which allowed her to spend time in England and Ireland, where she first became acquainted with European Union law and thus developed a strong interest in the field. She is fluent in English (CEFR C1) and is deepening her study of French. Her main academic interests are corporate law, with a special focus on corporate governance profiles and extraordinary corporate transactions, and civil procedural law.

Lavinia Dioniso

Lavinia Dionisio joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023, as Article Editor. Born in Roma in 2001, she obtained the Scientific Diploma with full marks, and is now attending the fourth year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. She fluently speaks English (IELTS Academic – C1) and French (DALF – C1).  Having been selected to represent Bocconi University in the Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition, she has been awarded as student-judge winner. Her academic interests are mainly focused on business law and criminal law, especially the branch of economic crimes. Indeed, she is an active member of an association focused on corporate law.

Sofia Gustapane

Sofia Gustapane joined Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor. Born in Cork, Ireland, she obtained a Diploma with honours in Classical studies in 2020.During her high school years, she participated in several merit based projects, including an experience simulating the work of the European Parliament in Brussels and an exchange in the United States. Sofia is a native English speaker and is fluent in French, which she is still studying. During the third year of her studies, Sofia was selected to represent Bocconi University at the Moot Court Comparative Law in Action, where she had the opportunity to deepen her study of the relationship between law and new technologies. She is currently in the fourth year of the Master's Degree in Law with a focus on business and collaborates as a member of the B4i legal clinic, part of Bocconi for Innovation, under the guidance of a leading international law firm. In addition, she is involved in various student associations, where she serves as head of events and research area. Her main areas of academic interest include commercial law, intellectual property law, new technologies, and public law. 

Grace Haruni

Grace Haruni joins Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 as Article Editor. Born in Bologna in 2003, she obtained the International Scientific Diploma with 7 Cambridge IGCSE exams at the Galvani High School of Bologna. She is fluent in English (Proficiency C2) and has a good knowledge of French (DELF B2). Grace has experienced several exchange periods, among which one at the UCSD of San Diego. She has attended the 1st year of Law at Alma Mater Studiorum, where she joined the University Law Review. She is an active member of a legal student society well known in Europe. Currently she is enrolled in 2nd year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law at Bocconi University. She attended a summer school at the Nova Law School of Lisbon about International Economical Criminal Law, the latter and Public Law represent her main academic interests.

Martina Laface 

Martina Laface joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 as an Article Editor. Born and raised in Augusta, in Sicily, she obtained the Scientific Diploma with top grades, she speaks English fluently and she is now deepening the study of Spanish. She is currently attending the third year of the Integrated Master of Arts in law at Bocconi University and her main academic interests are European Union law and law and economics in a broad sense, with particular focus on commercial law.

Sara Lombardo

Sara Lombardo joins the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023, as Article Editor. Born in 2001 in Chioggia, near Venice, she obtained the Diploma with honors in Scientific Studies from G. Veronese High School, where she also excelled in debate competitions, earning the title of best speaker. Additionally, she had the opportunity to participate in an English language study program in London. Currently in her fourth year of the Master's Degree in Law, Sara speaks English fluently and is actively pursuing the study of French. Her areas of interest range from labour law to comparative public law, with a particular curiosity about the impact of new technologies in the legal field.

Luca Manna 

Luca Manna joined Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 holding the position of Article Editor. Born in Crotone in 2003, he graduated from high school with honors attending a section with an international focus. During high school he took part in two exchange projects in London and Bristol that allowed him to attend classes at universities such as King's College London and Clifton College. He is currently in his second year of law school: his interests lie in the areas of corporate law, comparative public law and private law. She has taken part in various activities in student associations and participated in a tutoring program in collaboration with Harvard University. He is fluent in English (IELTS Academic - C1) and has a basic knowledge of German.

Mariano Andrea Morabito

Mariano Andrea Morabito joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 as Article Editor. Born in Reggio di Calabria in 2001, he obtained the Classic Diploma and the French Diploma (BAC), both with maximum grades. He speaks English fluently and knows French. Right now, he is attending the 4th year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law in the Commercial University Luigi Bocconi in Milan and cooperates in the Legal Clinic “diritti e vulnerabilità”. His academic interests are mainly focused on private law and penal law, especially the branch of economic crimes; nonetheless, he likes to examine in depth the other subjects as well.

Ivana Nuzzaco

Ivana Nuzzaco joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers as Article Editor in October 2023. Born in Campania, Italy, in January 2002 and moved to the province of Bari in 2011, she received her Scientific Diploma with highest honors. She is currently attending the fourth year of Law, international, at the Commercial University Luigi Bocconi in Milan. Selected to participate in 2023 in the Model WTO project, organized by the renowned University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, she had the chance to deepen her preparation regarding International Law and the opportunity to make the acquaintance of prominent figures in the context of supranational affairs. Her main areas of interest are International and European Law, particularly European Criminal Procedure and Accounting Law. She is fluent in English (IELST Academic - C1) and is very interested in furthering her study of French.

Gianluca Pantaleo

Gianluca Pantaleo joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2022 and is presently its Article Editor. Born in Putignano in 2000, he obtained the Scientific Diploma with a focus on Law and economics. Currently he is now attending the 5th year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law, majoring in international law. From the same year, after taking part in several activities within student associations, he joined the project of San Siro Legal Clinic. He is particularly interested in the cultures and juridical systems of South Asia, and for this reason he started from this year the studying of the Hindi language.

Elisa Piccini

Elisa Piccini joined Bocconi Legal Papers in October 2022 as Article Editor. Born in Milan in 2000, she obtained the Scientific Diploma, and is now in the fifth year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law. She is interested in international law, European Union law, and human rights, and she had the opportunity to deepen these interests by participating in a summer school in public international law, held by The Hague Academy of International Law. She is further expanding her passion for these areas by participating in the UASI Legal Clinic, which provides support to Ukrainians fleeing the war. Selected for the Themis program, she spent the first semester of her fourth year at Singapore Management University, where she mainly took international law courses. She is also part of a university student association, where she takes part in the organization of Moot Court competitions.

Virginia Plaia

Virginia Plaia has joined Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 as Article Editor. She was born in Trapani, Sicily, in 2002, and earned a high school diploma in classical studies. Currently, she is a fourth-year law student at Bocconi University, Milan. Her academic interests include commercial law and white-collar crime, alongside corporate compliance. She works at the Legal Clinic “Rights and Vulnerabilities”, held in San Siro, Milan, while actively engaging in other initiatives and student associations related to criminal law.  She is a fluent English speaker (C1), and she has recently started practicing Spanish.

Alessia Renna

Alessia Renna joined Bocconi Legal Papers in 2023 as Article Editor. Born in 2001, she obtained her Classical high school diploma in 2020 with the highest marks, at the Liceo Classico Palmieri in Lecce, and now attends the fourth year of the Faculty of Law in Bocconi. She speaks English fluently (IELTS - C1) and she is currently studying Spanish at the Carlos III University in Madrid, as a student selected for the Exchange Program. Her main academic areas of interest include Corporate and Criminal law, a branch she explored through the participation in the Moot Court Competition. She is member of the main voluntary student association in Bocconi and has volunteered at the UASI Legal Clinic.

Valeria Maria Romana Sgobbi

Valeria Sgobbi joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 and is currently involved as an Article Editor. Born in Milano in 2000, she graduated obtaining the Classic Diploma with full marks. While in high school, she spent some time abroad to improve her English and German knowledge and fluency. At the moment, she is enrolled in the 5th year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law and is also involved in a students’ association focused on legal issues, where in the academic year 2021-2022 she was the head of a branch. Valeria speaks English fluently – certified at level C1 – and also has good knowledge of German, a language she is still deepening. Currently she is involved in the European Law Moot Court, a mock trial to which take part many European and non-European universities. In addition, her main interests in the legal field regard public law, European law, tax law and commercial law.

Maria Cristina Trimboli

Maria Cristina Trimboli joined the editorial team of Bocconi Legal Papers in 2021 as Article Editor. Born in Cosenza, she obtained the Classical Diploma with full marks and honors in 2019. She speaks fluently English (C1), and she is deepening her French (B2). Nowadays she is attending the 5th year of the Master of Integrated Arts in Law at Bocconi University. Here, she was selected to participate in a Moot Court Competition and, with her team, she reached the semi-finals. Between September 2022 and January 2023 she was a visiting student at the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), in France, as part of the THEMIS Law Network. She is also involved in several student associations, and she is President of one of these. She is currently doing an internship at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, in Brussels, where she works in the Justice Sector. Her academic areas of interest are Criminal law, European law and International law.
