At the moment, the meetings are scheduled in online mode, but may later be moved to in-person as the situation and protocols evolve.
Lessons will be held by Maestra Martina Zambelli (www.martinazambelli.com) through Zoom video conference and will last 90 minutes. In the first half hour, each class will address a different topic of choral practice: diaphragmatic breathing; control of the epiglottis; command of the movements of true and false vocal cords; management of the soft palate; mastery of the sublingual muscles and key theoretical musical concepts. Then, a maximum of 5 singers per lesson, chosen by the instructor and who agree to participate, will perform a piece with an arrangement found online. The performances will relate to the topics covered during the theoretical section, sharing techniques and an emotional journey with classmates, who will then comment on the concepts learned, applying them to practice. The piece(s) that each participant will learn and record on their own using leader tracks will be assembled by the instructor in complex polyphonies. They may differ by era and genre, in order to make the vocal ensemble as flexible as possible and learning more exciting.
