Facility Management and Digital Technologies for Smart Buildings in the Covid Era

A Bocconi Smart City Observatory Workshop

Digital technology enables a more efficient management of buildings. Constant monitoring of energy and water consumption and data on components for maintenance optimize administration and reduce running costs. The Covid-19 pandemic poses new challenges in facility management, particularly for ventilation, heating and air conditioning, sanification of common areas, access to buildings and registration of presence therein. Smart technologies can play an important role in managing these aspects that have become priorities during the health crisis. The workshop, organized by the Bocconi Smart City Observatory, will engage several tecnology providers and experts, in order to present the advantages and benefits of innovative solutions in the reopening phase.
