Wi-Fi technology (Wireless Fidelity) has been widely accepted as the best technology enabling access to Internet services without the hassle of cabling and fixed workstations.
With Wi-Fi access, Bocconi offers several internet applications and services: web browsing, email, management and accounting procedures and e-learning. Wireless access also simplifies the use of IT resources, innovatitve teaching methods and acts to expand work areas.
In addition to the wireless service at the SDA Master building in Via Balilla, the University has begun to make this technology to all Faculty offices as well.
The first phase of the project focuses on creating a Wi-Fi area in student spaces at the Via Sarfatti building (in the west wing), at Piazza Sraffa 13 (known as the Velodromo), as well as the Via Röntgen building, completely cover by Wi-Fi access.
At the completion of this two-year project, all remaining buildings on campus will be covered by the new infrastructure.
