INTERNATIONAL WEEK 2010
February 15-19
Università Bocconi, Via Roentgen 1
To study or to work abroad is a unique, exciting, often life-changing experience that helps students grow personally and academically as they prepare themselves for their future careers.
There are many personal benefits in going abroad. Students come back more independent, confident and eager to take on any challenge in their life.
From the academic point of view, by studying abroad students have the opportunity to show initiative and eagerness to achieve higher academic targets. Study abroad also nurtures the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and to learn from different teaching styles.
Regardless of the career path involved, a study abroad, work abroad or other international exchange experience will better prepare students for the global economy, allowing them to be more aware of diverse business practices and to experience in working with foreign or multinational companies.
Each year, the International Relations Office at Bocconi organizes INTERNATIONAL WEEK with the aim of informing students who are interested in learning how to get ready to go abroad and would like to know more about our University's international programs.
Last November Università Bocconi offered a special preview on Bocconi International Programs for all Undergraduate, Graduate and Law students, with a specific focus on graduate opportunities, such as Double Degrees and CEMS Master in International Management, that have their selection processes in advance.
From February 15 to 19, International Week 2010 will give further information and insights (such as deadlines, destinations, slots...) through presentations targeted to undergraduate, graduate and law students for all the following international programs:
To help students along the application process, specific Info Sessions will be held on how to choose among the different opportunities, how to apply successfully, how to ask for grants and scholarships, regional focuses and much more....
The Student Fair will welcome students who are interested in meeting Bocconi participants to previous editions of the above international programs and incoming students from Bocconi's Partner Schools. This is a key instrument for those who would like to learn from their direct experience.
Lastly, a traditional "event in the event" is the award ceremony of the Ulisse Images photographic contest. The selection this year will be carried out with the collaboration of a representative of FORMA, the well-known photographic Gallery in Milan.
