Application: from January 10th to February 3rd, 2012 (at 1pm)
Students enrolled in the 4th year of the CLMG in a.y 2011/2012 can apply for the Moot 2013.
To apply, students must send a scanned copy of the STUDENT DOSSIER to competitions@unibocconi.it from January 10th to February 3rd 2012 (at 1pm).
Please send the complete application dossier only once you have all the required documents:
- a one-page motivational letter in English;
- a Curriculum Vitae in English;
- English International Certificates (if any);
- Legal English certification (if gained);
- a digital photoraph.
Dates & location
- Memorandum for claimant tentatively due on December 2012 (TBC)
- Memorandum for respondent tentatively due on January 2013 (TBC)
- General and Final rounds: tentatively scheduled around mid April 2013 in Vienna (Austria).
Eligibility
Academic requirements (mandatory):
Enrollment in the 4th year of the Combined Bachelor and Master of Science program in Law -CLMG; the program takes place during the 5th year of study
Preferential terms (optional):
- having passed the exams of "Diritto processuale civile"
- having the course of "Diritto dell'arbitrato e dei metodi alternativi di risoluzione delle liti into the study plan
- having carried on relevant professional experiences, e.g. internships etc.
Selection
Selection is based on an evaluation of merit, taking into consideration each applicant's academic and personal curriculum, and on interviews. Selected students will be maximum 8.
Fees and Costs
Università Bocconi covers the application fee, accommodation and travel costs (Milan-Vienna-Milan) for the duration of the event in Vienna. Board and other costs are at the participants' expense.
Notes:
1. Moot participants may sit the additional exam session for 1st semester courses scheduled in December 2012 (dates TBA)
2. Moot can be recognized in lieu of an internship for the Combined Bachelor and Master of Science in Law - CLMG (refer to the "Guide to the University")
3. Due to the intense workload required, the participation in the MOOT is not compatible with the concurrent participation in other significant international experiences including the Exchange Program, the Themis program and Internships. Selected students will have to confirm/withdraw participation in the Moot before publication of the Exchange program rankings. If the student confirms participation in the Moot, he/she will be automatically excluded from the Exchange program rankings.
